We risk losing everything

Tuesday September 9, 2008By Lisa Loring in Kenosha

Our family’s worst nightmare is in progress. In November, my 17 year old son was killed in a car wreck. I am sure you can imagine the costs associated with that, especially since the drunk driver who killed him had no car insurance.

Our family was devastated in every sense of the word. Due to a very tight budget, and continually rising health insurance premiums (well over $1500 a month!!) my mother, despite her long history of high blood pressure, diabetes, and many others, had to choose between our keeping our family home, or her maintaining her insurance.

She dropped her insurance about 6 months ago. Well, on July 15th, my mom suffered a massive, devastating stroke with diffuse bleeding on her brain. It was the worst possible medical crisis that could have happened. Please note, my mother had just turned 60 years old on July 6. She is not exactly an elderly person.

After stabilization at Kenosha Hospital, she was airflighted to a neuro-surgical intensive care unit in Milwaukee. She was given a grim prognosis, we were told she may not live though the night, and if she did survive, her long term recovery would be difficult, very lengthy, and her chance for resuming a meaningful life uncertain.

She was given a burr hole in her brain to drain blood and monitor pressure on her brain. She was completely comatose, unable to breathe or move, and was put on life support, Granny had nearly every tube, wire, and medication given to her. It was a frightening scene. The first night in Milwaukee, she suffered a heart attack, followed by a second stroke a few days later.

After she made it through the first few days, we were told of the potential worst case complications that she would be watched for. This would be “vaso spasms” in which the arteries in her brain spasm, causing further damage to her brain, and possible death to brain tissue. On about the 5th or 6th day, she began to suffer vaso spasms. Again she was critical.

This continued for a week. But, slowly, she began to stabilize. She now awakens and follows simple commands. She knows who I am and what is going on around her. But, she is completely paralyzed on her right side. She had to have a tracheotomy hole placed in her neck because she couldnt maintain her airway for breathing. She had a permanent feeding tube placed.

Today she was transferred to a regular hospital floor, out of the ICU. They are beginning to look at placement options for discharge. She will need a minimum of a year at a neuro rehab facility.

After 2 weeks, her hospital bill is up to a quarter million dollars. We risk losing everything, our 2 rental apartments, which help us pay our mortgage, and the home we bought together in 1998 to raise my 3 sons.

I have no idea what I am going to do…my son is gone, my mother will never be the same mother I love, and we are losing it all…..

This country does NOT protect those of us who have worked hard our entire lives….they leave us to face situations like ours….alone.

  1. This woman, Lisa Loring, is not a truthful person. While it is sad that she did lose a son, the cost, dollar-wise, was about a few thousand, and approximately 3 weeks after that death of her son, she had a public memorial, in the back of a bar, where she was given by friends, and strangers, well beyond what she had spent.

While it is a very traumatic and sad thing when one loses a child, Lisa Loring was and is always about looking for attention and “Help” from others.

Ms. Loring now is going through yet another crisis, which is sad, but, facts are, her mother most likely suffered her stroke, due to the fact that SHE was trying desparately to raise Ms. Loring’s boys to be better human beings, while Ms. Loring trapsed about here and there, pretending to be someone of importance. Ms. Loring’s boys were out of control, and it’s no wonder. If Ms. Loring were to spend half the time raising her boys, as she does in a so-called “profession” where she makes no income, her boy might still be here today, and her mother might not be suffering so much. Ms. Loring teaches her boys that it is okay to smoke cigarettes as young as 9 years old, do drugs, drink, act on their own racist hate towards others, and that NOT going to school or getting an education is alright with her, and then she turns around and has the gall to pretend to be a “Concerned and Upstanding” Parent and Citizen, and even going as far as to join a Parent’s Union, call it her own, and further pretend that she has any business there, since her children are supposedly “home-schooled” yet a person living in their home said that not only did they not do any type of school work, but, they also trashed all of the equiptment and materials, i.e., text books, etc., that was borrowed to them by an online school system. No punishments ever to be given, but, instead, Ms. Loring took her kids to rallies where the theme was “COPS ARE BAD” and “RULES DON’T MATTER!” While condoning blatant verbal and written Cop-Bashing, in her so-called “Private Life” which she makes public, at the same time, she claimed to be a devout Christian, but that soon faded away, as she and her children became BORED with her mother’s ramblings!

Ms. Loring suggests that she is an upstanding citizen, who just needs some help. Here, she tells us that she and her mother have rental properties, which tells me that she has income, and maybe should give them up to Catholic Charities, who would then pay the costs for her care.

Ms. Loring’s untruthfulness is documented here, from a time when she was a Nurse, which she reminds people of all the time, as though it means something, yet she was Suspended indefinitely the first time, for “diverting vicodine” first in Kenosha, then went to Illinois where she got herself put into a Program for Impaired get her back into the medical workforce, where she again, broke rules or laws, and was then Suspended from having a Nursing License in both Illinois and Wisconsin.

First Offense – This is according to:

WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF REGULATION & LICENSING

January 7, 2005 PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MADISON . . . The Department of Regulation and Licensing announced that the following disciplinary orders were issued in December 2004

Lisa Loring, Kenosha – Registered Nurse. The Board of Nursing suspended Lisa Loring for an indefinite period and ordered her to pay $600 in costs. Loring was participating in the Department of Regulation and Licensing’s Impaired Professionals Procedure (IPP) program but failed to comply with the requirements and was discharged. [LS0409273NUR]

    She Then – According to:

SPRINGFIELD, IL – The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) announced today that the Acting Director of the Division of Professional Regulation, Daniel E. Bluthardt, signed the following disciplinary actions taken during the month of November 2005.

Lisa Tauri was her married name at one time. She later took back her maiden name. It’s in Wisconsin court records access, or WCCA. She apparently decided to use her married name again, to get a Nursing License in Illinois and start again, only she got suspended there, also for this:

Lisa Tauri, Kenosha, WI – registered nurse license (041-338352) indefinitely suspended for diverting Vicodin

While no legal charges were brought against her in the State of Wisconsin for this offense, the way it was told to me, by Ms. Loring, herself, both parties agreed that if she left quietly, and did practice Nursing again, then the firing, and loss of license would be all the punishment she would get.

When I found this information, it verified, for me, a story that I was told, about how she has, in the no so distant past, provided her boyfriend, who also does not work, with her son’s prescription amphetamines, likely paid for by the state, since she does not work, and this would be the same son who is now deceased. This woman also started a group again Psychiatrists, saying that they are frauds and just want to put our kids on drugs, and how bad these drugs are, but then she accepts the drugs for her son, which he obviously needed, but either gives them away freely or sells them, who knows, thereby leaving her son without what he so clearly needed.

Please, if you do not want to allow the truth to be attached to this woman’s story, then after checking out the truth that I have provided, by searching up “Lisa Loring” Kenosha and “Lisa Tauri” Kenosha, as well as searching her up on this site,

    http://wcca.wicourts.gov/simpleCaseSearch.xsl

just so you know that they are one in the same person, who has a history of being dishonest and stealing, drugs, no less, could you at least take down her story, for I fear that some unsuspecting, poor fool, will try to contact her with help, or send her money, which I imagine she will spend on anything but honorable things.

The whole thing is very sad, indeed.
